In Newcastle we have been having a hectic time taking part in and documenting the Wunderbar Festival

Tonight we are very excited because this guy Alex MacKenzie is coming to do a show at our cinema called the Wooden Lightbox. He makes his own film stock, the emulsion that goes on the film and has the image exposed onto it, and he also has made his own hand cranked projector. I kind of made a really rubbish version of this once so it will be really great to see how his works.
He used to run a cinema called the Blinding Light!! Cinema which looks an absolute marvel.

I am looking forward to a few hours off when I can rummage around in the darkroom to find some equipment to bring up to Hospitalfields.
What kind of equipment do we want to play with? Perhaps we can edit a list on here.
Also when you say about sourcing projectors - do you mean video projectors? Or film too? Our video projector is tied to the cinema. But I guess there must be one that we can borrow in Dundee?
We will definitely be arriving on Sunday now. Looking forward to it!
